Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data RankdOut collects when you visit rankdout.com or contact us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain, the same way we try to run our business.

1. Who we are

RankdOut (“RankdOut”, “we”, “us”) is an SEO consultancy run by its founder that works with clients online. It is not yet a registered company. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@rankdout.com.

2. What data we collect

Information you give us

When you fill in a form on our site or email us, we receive the details you choose to share. On our forms that means your name, company name, email address, website URL, and your message.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical and security data. Like every website, our servers, CDN, and security tools process your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request. We need this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Spam protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is submitting them. Turnstile processes limited technical signals for that check.
  • Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, time on site, device and browser type, approximate location, and how you found us. If you decline, Google Analytics does not run.

For details on cookies and how to change your choice at any time, see our Cookie Policy.

We do not collect special categories of data, such as health or financial information, and we ask you not to send them through our forms.

3. How we use your data and our legal bases

If you are in the EU, the UK, or a similar jurisdiction, we rely on these legal bases:

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
  • To deliver services to clients: performance of our contract with you.
  • To measure and improve the website: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To keep the site and forms secure and free of spam: our legitimate interest in protecting our site and our visitors.
  • To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations: legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising profiles, and we do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, and only as far as they need it:

  • Hostinger: website hosting and our business email, including the emails our forms send.
  • QUIC.cloud: content delivery and caching, so pages load quickly.
  • Cloudflare: spam protection on our forms (Turnstile).
  • Google: Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, only if you consent to statistics cookies.
  • Our backup storage provider: secure copies of the website for recovery.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the EU or UK, we rely on safeguards recognised by law, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the provider participates.

6. How long we keep data

  • Enquiries: as long as we need to reply and follow up. If you don’t become a client, we delete your enquiry within 24 months.
  • Client records: for the length of our engagement, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
  • Website email logs: automatically deleted after 14 days.
  • Analytics data: kept in Google Analytics for no longer than the retention period set in our account.
  • Security logs: kept for short periods, only as long as needed to protect the site.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct or delete it;
  • ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, or object to it;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
  • complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email hello@rankdout.com. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

8. How we protect your data

We use HTTPS encryption, a web application firewall, regular updates, and limited access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you where the law requires it.

9. Children

Our site and services are meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Links to other websites

Our site may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
